The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra brings a concert with Viennese atmosphere to the PHIL together with conductor Patrick Hahn, featuring works by Strauss and much more.

The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra distinguishes itself through the intense energy of its concerts, its acclaimed recordings, and its innovative audience engagement. Founded in 1918, it has established a unique place among Europe's most leading symphony orchestras.

After the initial pioneering years, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra develops from 1930 under Eduard Flipse into one of the most prominent Dutch orchestras.

The orchestra is regularly heard at various venues: from Rotterdam stages to the most renowned concert halls at home and abroad. With all its concerts, educational performances, and community projects, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra attracts between 150,000 and 200,000 visitors each season, including a considerable number of young people.
