Broze Aarde
With Broze Aarde, the NBE presents a musical tribute to our fragile planet, based on the poetry collection Broze aarde by South African writer Antjie Krog.
In the form of a high mass, mezzo-soprano Christianne Stotijn, together with chamber choir Studium Chorale, celebrates humanity's relationship with the earth – from the perspective of what that same earth has brought to mankind so far.
With brand new music by Fant de Kanter, who challenges every NBE member with tailor-made parts written especially for this production. The result is an exciting artistic adventure: a spiritual and urgent performance about humanity and climate that offers comfort, strength and hope.
