The Dutch Chamber Orchestra performs Bach's Passion music every year. This year the orchestra is working with its resident artistic partner Cappella Amsterdam.

Together with six international soloists, they perform Bach's St. Matthew Passion, conducted by celebrated conductor Daniel Reuss.

Bach's musical account of Jesus's final days is ingenious, gripping and moving. Whoever hears the opening chorus of the St. Matthew Passion is immediately seized by the almost otherworldly beauty and intensity of this music. Other highlights include the poignant soprano aria Blute nur, the consoling alto aria Erbarme dich with its famous violin solo and the overwhelming choral work Sind Blitze, sind Donner.
