The Dutch Brass Ensemble and Duda Paiva Company collaborate again in Breath of the Forest, a concert created with the Kamayurá community from the Amazon region.

Together with Andreia Duarte, an artist and researcher who lived with the Kamayurá for many years, they travelled to the Amazon and immersed themselves in the existence of this indigenous community.

Inspired by their worldview and the music of Heitor Villa-Lobos, the performance weaves together live music, movement and puppetry into a ritual of listening. The project honours indigenous peoples. A meditative and physical experience, rooted in an ethical exchange and with mutual consent, told in breath and sound.
