Christian Tetzlaff is a guest with the Dutch Chamber Orchestra as a violin virtuoso and as a conductor. He is the soloist in Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto and conducts works by Mendelssohn and Schönberg.

Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto is one of the most beloved violin concertos. Every virtuoso has it on their repertoire, and Christian Tetzlaff is no exception. His interpretation borders on the perfect, as evidenced by his recording of this work, which won the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik award.

What is particularly special is that Tetzlaff not only performs as a soloist but also conducts the orchestra. He leads the orchestra in Mendelssohn's First Symphony, a work the composer wrote when he was just fifteen years old (!). Schoenberg's Verklärte Nacht is a shimmering sensual poem for strings about unbreakable love in a moonlit nocturnal landscape.
