Star Gala for Het Vergeten Kind

March 24, 2025

Sterrengala Haarlem exceeds expectations with 85,000 euros for the Forgotten Child Foundation! The proceeds from this 'most culinary gala in the Netherlands', which took place last week in the Grote Zaal of the PHIL, make a significant difference in the lives of 750 children with problematic home situations in the Kennemerland region. 200 guests enjoyed an exclusive five-course dinner, prepared by star chefs from restaurants ML, Ratatouille, Le Mortier, Mano, and Éclusier, accompanied by wines from wine importer Vinites. Illusionist Hans Klok added extra magic to the evening, while ball pits and piñatas brought the child in the guests back to life.

Partying with BORRLS

December 6, 2024

1,000 celebrating people, a DJ, and live music in our Grote Foyer; this beautiful large space once again proves to be extremely suitable for a real party. A sold-out second Christmas edition of BORRLS, the organization behind 'the most fun Friday afternoon drinks at unique locations', brought Christmas BORRLS celebration and music to the PHIL. The corporate packages were also well sold, because how nice is it to close the year with colleagues at such a party?

Congress Ministry of I&W

November 25-28, 2024

The Netherlands recently hosted the 'ICAO Symposium on the Assistance to Aircraft Accident Victims and their Families'. For the PHIL, it was an honor to welcome this symposium, organized by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. There was a discussion about the social impact of aviation accidents and how countries can best support victims and their family members.

PHIL is a partner of the festival and was the main venue, featuring a comprehensive programme that was mostly free to access. There were performances by among others Sven Hammond, Celine Cairo, and Axel Flóvent, the Haarlem Record Label Market in the Grand Foyer, listening sessions by Discogs, a special (J)open stage, a signing session with Rinus Gerritsen, and various other activities.

Wine professionals and enthusiasts from all over the Netherlands attended the anniversary event of the Wine Academy and the Association of Wine Experts Netherlands. With around 500 visitors, the 50th anniversary was celebrated lavishly. We enjoyed all this knowledge and enthusiasm together and look back on a beautiful day.

JAMF Nation Live

June 14, 2024

Psychedelics conference

June 10, 2024

For the second time, the PHIL was the venue for the prestigious international ICPR conference (Interdisciplinary Conference on Psychedelic Research). Our client, OPEN Foundation, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting knowledge and understanding of psychedelics through research. Not only was the PHIL well-rated, but the city of Haarlem was also so positively reviewed by academics, therapists, scientific researchers, clinical staff, and policymakers in 2022 that it became a reason to return in 2024.

OVNH verkiezing 2024

29 mei 2024

Cultuurinstellingen slaan handen ineen

17 april 2024

Not only in the cultural sector, but also in our operations, we are looking for collaboration with other cultural institutions in Haarlem. A great example of this is the framework agreement with HEINEKEN Horeca, which we signed as Stadsschouwburg and PHIL, together with Slachthuis Haarlem, Patronaat, and Brasserie van Beinum in the Kleine Zaal of the PHIL.

Maestro: een perfecte match

Expected: winter 2025

PHIL has been the setting for the immensely popular AVROTROS program Maestro for all seven seasons. Many recognize our Grote Zaal from this television hit, where well-known Dutch personalities take on the challenge of conducting a real symphony orchestra. On Sunday, January 21, Chris Zeegers and Frédérique Spigt will compete live from PHIL for the golden baton of Maestro. A grand television production that once again shows how well our venue is suited for this purpose.

TWijs study day

October 30, 2023

Every two years, Foundation TWijs organizes a study day for the 31 affiliated primary schools in South Kennemerland. Around 750 teachers, principals, and administrators from this partnership gathered in the PHIL for a plenary information session in the Grote Zaal, followed by inspiring and creative workshops in four smaller rooms. The day was, of course, concluded with a pleasant networking reception.

Royal visit language congress

June 17, 2023

Wow, these 1,000 language enthusiasts and Dutch language experts have learned so much during the biennial Onze Taal congress at the PHIL. The program focused on the language we hear AND the language that remains unspoken. Think of workshops like 'Inclusive language: can you really say nothing anymore?' or 'The right words: tips for delivering bad news effectively.' and 'Cat language: how humans and cats communicate.' But also a challenging dictation from the Language Advisory Service. Our technicians in the rooms have greatly been able to enhance their knowledge.

Dining on the Boven Foyer

December 16, 2022

The artists' entrance of PHIL overlooks the suppliers' entrance of the Teylers Museum. And vice versa. Neighbors who know each other well, you would think. Yet for many employees of this art and science museum, it was the first time they made 'the crossing' to the backyard neighbors. "I had no idea there was such a beautiful building behind that facade. And it is so large here!" We have heard this not once, not twice, but certainly 3 times.

National Delta Congress

November 10, 2022

The bar was set high, the preparations were intensive, and the technical requirements were ambitious. Together with our client staff Delta commissioner, we look back on a very successful edition! A particularly prestigious case.

Networking event with own furniture

June 1, 2022

RS Components is a globally operating omnichannel provider of electronic, electrical, and industrial components. In PHIL, they organized a networking event for their suppliers and other relationships. What made this event so special was the look and feel created by the furniture and booths that were brought in by the attendees. A smart way to stand out and give it your own touch.
