The Kleine Zaal is very intimate, the stage is relatively close to the audience. BSSO also stands for discussions. The lectures typically last 20 minutes, after which a Q&A or discussion follows. The space, with the audience so close to the stage, is excellent for that.
Preparations medical congress
July 2, 3, and 4, 2025
Since 2007, the PHIL has been the permanent location for the international BSSO congress, which focuses on orthodontists and maxillofacial surgeons. This anniversary edition marks the tenth meeting in a valuable tradition. In July, more than 400 maxillofacial surgeons and orthodontists from home and abroad will once again converge in hotels in Haarlem. Our preparations for the congress, organized by Ireen Rientjes Congress Organization, are in full swing.
Collaboration since 2007
‘I had never seen such a beautiful, warm, and intimate conference room as the Kleine Zaal,’ our client recalls from her first site visit. ‘Over the years, we have grown as an event, and that could always be done excellently within the historic walls of the PHIL. In the latest editions, we have been able to organize additional workshops and conferences on the Wednesday before and the Saturday after the Symposium. The smaller rooms of the PHIL are perfect for this. They are not only functional but also beautifully designed and wonderfully located with a great view.’
Haarlem as an alternative to Amsterdam
We hear it often; Haarlem is an excellent alternative to Amsterdam. Just 15 minutes from Schiphol and 20 minutes from Amsterdam, it is easily accessible by train. Not only international attendees, but also Dutch people appreciate the compact, historic city center - where everything is within reach. The culinary scene in Haarlem is well-liked: during the conference, you see groups of attendees enjoying themselves on the terraces and in the many cozy restaurants. Or organize, just like BSSO, a dinner at a beach café in Zandvoort; guests can catch the bus just around the corner by the Spaarne.
