The Netherlands recently hosted the 'ICAO Symposium on the Assistance to Aircraft Accident Victims and their Families'. For the PHIL, it was an honor to host this symposium organized by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. Discussions focused on the societal impact of aviation accidents and how countries can best support victims and their family members.
Haarlem: a conscious choice
Our client, the Aviation Directorate of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, indicated that the location (near Schiphol and Amsterdam) was one of the decisive factors for choosing the PHIL. "The location in the illuminated heart of Haarlem made this site perfect during the dark November month. It was easily accessible, and the surroundings offered plenty of opportunities for our hundreds of guests to chat afterward in one of the nearby cafés or restaurants.
