Lavinia Meijer as a versatile harpist
Lavinia Meijer (1983), winner of the Dutch Music Prize 2009, is one of the most versatile harpists of our time. She has collaborated with renowned composers such as Philip Glass (Koyaanisqatsi, the Hours) and Ludovico Einaudi (Intouchables, Black Swan), sharing the stage with them as well as with the legendary Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, Laurie Anderson, Olafur Arnalds, and Sufjan Stevens.
Her albums are released worldwide on renowned labels such as Channel Classics and Sony Classics, and have been awarded two Edison Awards and double platinum status. Her solo albums alone have been streamed over 100 million times on Spotify. This places Lavinia Meijer among the international top of the most streamed classical artists.
From bass to piano: Reyer Zwart
Reyer Zwart (1971) studied bass guitar at the Utrecht Conservatory, graduating in 1996. He performs as a bass guitarist, double bassist, guitarist, and pianist, and has played with Dutch bands and artists including Daniël Lohues, Jacqueline Govaert, Stéphanie Struijk, Anne Soldaat, and Tim Knol. He toured for many years with cabaret artist Claudia de Breij and has been the musical leader for Freek de Jonge since 2012. From 2012 to 2014, he was the bassist in the trio of the legendary American composer/arranger Van Dyke Parks during his European tours.
