Irina Lankova presents a piano recital featuring works by Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Scriabin, Stravinsky, Gluck, and Mozart.
The concert pianist performs on leading stages worldwide, such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Wigmore Hall in London, Salle Gaveau in Paris, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, L’Esprit du Piano, Sagra Musicale Umbra, Cidade das Artes in Rio, and many others.
International critics describe her as a pianist with a “genuinely poetic touch” (The Independent), an “endless palette of colors” (La Libre Belgique), and a “golden tone” (Pianist). She is praised for her intuitive and sincere interpretations.
Driven by her passion for sharing classical music, Irina Lankova gives masterclasses. Since 2015, she has been the artistic director of Max Festival, an international music festival in the heart of the Belgian countryside, just outside Brussels.
As a unique pianist, she stands out for her deeply expressive interpretations and original program choices, as well as her personal way of presenting works with short, introduced narratives. She creates a spontaneous and poetic concert experience.

Using (historical) images and music fragments, musicologist Philip Ruitenberg sheds light on the concert programs. He discusses backgrounds and details, bringing the music to life.
