In this first concert of their residency trilogy, Fuse joins forces with the enchanting Greek soprano Aphrodite Patoulidou for an evening filled with iconic music from the Romantic era, jazz, Broadway, and pop. At the kickoff of their residency, Fuse collaborates with the mesmerizing Greek soprano Aphrodite Patoulidou for a journey through various musical traditions.
An evening full of iconic music about the desire for escape, self-expression, and change. Fuse combines in this concert pearls from the Romantic era, jazz, Broadway, and pop, with unique arrangements of music by Kurt Weill, Billy Strayhorn, Frank Zappa, Schubert, Strauss, and Purcell. Within this collaboration, Fuse and Aphrodite connect through a shared passion for music with a rough edge, where stories of escapes and transformations are central.
A fairy-tale and sometimes dark realm where the boundaries between fantasy and reality blur. The versatile voice and expressiveness of Aphrodite Patoulidou perfectly complement the dynamics of the sextet of Fuse.
