Albèrt Driessen & Andries Bogerd
Haarlem is known worldwide as the city of organs. The city has two top organs with a monumental status: the Christian Müller organ in the Great or St. Bavo Church and the Cavaillé-Coll organ in the PHIL.
Albèrt Driessen received his first organ lessons from Bert Gelderman and at thirteen, he continued his studies with Evan Bogerd, who prepared him for his conservatory studies. Since 2021, Albèrt has been studying at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, organ with Jos van der Kooy and piano with Wim Voogd.In addition, Albèrt is pursuing a degree in Law at Leiden University. He is also taking a Church Music minor at the conservatory in Rotterdam.
In October 2021, Albèrt won first prize at the Quintus Competition in Kampen. In 2020, Albèrt was admitted to the Young Talent program of the International Organ Festival Haarlem and in 2024 he took part as an organist in the Laurens Choir Academy, where he was coached by Wiecher Mandemaker and Hayo Boerema.
Andries Bogerd received his first organ lessons with Yde Raap. For a year he studied at the Prins Claus Conservatory in Groningen with Theo Jellema. Since 2021 Bogerd has been studying with Jos van der Kooy at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. In addition to his organ study he studies Church Music at the Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam.
Bogerd participated in masterclasses with Leo van Doeselaar, Michel Bouvard, Anton Pauw, Daan Manneke and Hayo Boerema. In 2023 he won first prize at the Duyschot Concours Amsterdam. In april 2024 he has been appointed organist of the Maranathakerk in The Hague.
From May to October, concerts are held on Tuesday evenings and in July and August also on Thursday afternoons in the Grote or St. Bavo Church by renowned organists from home and abroad.
