Tapasconcert: Giorgi Gigashvili
'Serious Music' with Nikala Zubiashvili | Live electronic music
With this concert you'll receive a tapas snack.
Pianist Giorgi Gigashvili deliberately challenges our conventions: he experiments with classical music and pop music as two equally valid musical languages.
Giorgi Gigashvili is a Georgian pianist who broke through at a young age, including by winning talent competitions and international piano competitions such as in Vigo and the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition. He studied in Tbilisi, Berlin and Geneva and has since built an international career with performances in major European venues and collaborations with leading orchestras.
In addition to his classical career, he combines piano music with Georgian folk music and electronic influences in innovative projects. His debut album Meeting my Shadow (2023) was received with critical acclaim, and he is regarded as one of the most striking young pianists of his generation.
