Joris Luyendijk is an anthropologist and has worked in journalism for more than twenty years. He wrote about diverse subjects such as the Middle East, the financial world and socio-political themes like populism. He did this for national and international media such as NRC Handelsblad, De Correspondent and The Guardian. He is the author of several books, including Het zijn net mensen, the international bestseller Dit kan niet waar zijn and De zeven vinkjes, published in 2023.
