Velvet Vox invites you to an evening full of close harmony in an intimate live setting, where they will introduce you to their world and the magic of the profession.
They stand on the most beautiful stages, play for full houses, are part of great shows, and add color to the sound of the most famous artists in the Netherlands with their harmonies: the backing vocals. Their role is indispensable, yet often they remain out of sight. And yet, you have probably heard or seen the trio Velvet Vox before. As the regular voices of, among others, Jaap Reesema, Maan (2022 to 2024), and The Jimmy’s, the backing band for, among others, De Vrienden van Amstel Live, The Streamers, and The Headliner, they shine in the shadows. But who are the people behind these voices?
Especially for this performance, Judith van Drunen, Katie van Steenis, and Frederieke Kroone step into the spotlight themselves. They take you into the life of a backing vocalist and showcase all aspects of their profession. Expect surprising performances of songs they have sung over the years, interspersed with their favorite pop, soul, and singer-songwriter repertoire. Always with their trademark: crystal-clear harmonies.
