PRJCT Amsterdam and Jeanine De Bique present a program together centered on G.F. Händel. The music takes shape in a performance that pays attention to detail and historical context.
Jeanine De Bique studied in New York and received distinctions at the International Vocalists Competition in 's-Hertogenbosch and the Viotti International Music Competition. The UNESCO commission of Trinidad and Tobago, her country of birth, appointed her as Youth Ambassador for Peace.
She has been a guest at opera houses in Geneva, Houston and Berlin, among others, and performed at festivals in Aix-en-Provence (Rossini) and Salzburg (Purcell). Additionally, she was a soloist at the BBC Proms and collaborated with ensembles such as the Staatskapelle Berlin and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
For her debut album Mirrors she received, among others, an Opus Klassik, a Diapason d'Or and an Edison. In March 2024 she performed in the Grote Zaal with Britten's Les illuminations, performed with the Dutch Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Maxim Emelyanychev.
In March 2025 Jeanine De Bique sang arias and duets by Händel in the Grote Zaal, together with countertenor Maarten Engeltjes and PRJCT Amsterdam.
