Maaike Ouboter

'Favorite songs' is an ode to the impact that music can have. It sets the scene for important events in your life and colors your memories. Whether it's a small moment or a major turning point, without realizing it, you've come to associate it with a song; because you played it endlessly during that specific time, or because it just happened to come on at that exact moment. 

During this theater concert, Maaike Ouboter performs reinterpretations of her favorite songs and takes you on a journey through originally foreign-language songs that have inspired, moved, and shaped her. By providing new Dutch words to them, she brings the songs closer. Just as Maaike did on albums like ‘From Now On It’s Yours’ and ‘Armor of Glass,’ and of course her unforgettable hit ‘That I Miss You.’
