The acoustic folk sound of Isbells has been compared multiple times to Nick Drake, Fleet Foxes, and Bon Iver. The fragile voices, acoustic guitars, balanced brass instruments, delicate percussion, and electronic veil create a solid and familiar set. With Chantal Acda, Christophe Vandewoude, Gianni Marzo, and Gerd Van Mulders, Gaëtan Vandewoude gathered a strong group of musicians around him to shape his beautiful and fragile songs.
Meanwhile, Isbells has collected millions of streams on Spotify, highlighted by the beautiful 'Dreamer', which is on its way to an impressive 80 million streams.
On January 17, 2025, Isbells' sixth album, and the noise settles, was released, the first Isbells album without Gaëtan as producer. This album is an intimate, honest encounter, focusing on the power of simplicity, sincerity, magic, and connection.
The magic of the album is brought to life live by the familiar Isbells band, consisting of Gianni Marzo, Gerd Van Mulders, Christophe Vandewoude, and Chantal Acda.
