Meis
Intimate electronic indie pop
"Girl enchanted with songs from which you never want to leave."
Meis, the pseudonym of Aysha de Groot, is an artist whose eccentricity, raw sound, and hyper-personal stories make her impossible to ignore.
As a third generation 'De Groot', Aysha Meis (1993) was immersed in music from a young age. For the daughter of Marcel and granddaughter of Boudewijn, it was unimaginable that she would choose a different path.
Now, with her originality, raw sound, and personal stories, she has become an artist that you can't ignore. In her direct lyrics, she shares her feelings without a filter, bringing comfort and recognition together. Her live shows are authentic, captivating, and playful.
In her first theater concert 'Zwart/Wit', named after her debut album, she delivers a dynamic set with her three-piece band, and even the dance pole on stage is put to use. Whether in a pop venue, theater, or at a festival, Meis knows how to leave an indelible impression.
