Since the 1980s, the Waterboys have been led by Scottish singer and guitarist Mike Scott and have evolved through numerous line-ups, gaining a formidable concert reputation along the way.
The Waterboys have been led since the 1980s by Scottish singer/guitarist Mike Scott and have evolved through many lineups, gradually acquiring a fearsome concert reputation. Their most famous songs are The Whole Of The Moon, How Long Will I Love You, This Is The Sea, and Fisherman's Blues.
One of the best live bands in the world, the group from 2025 consists of dual keyboardists Brother Paul from Memphis and James Hallawell from Cornwall, and is anchored by the killer Irish rhythm section Aongus Ralston (bass) and Eamon Ferris (drums).
They reconfigure music from all stages of the band's career, from the early "big music" of The Whole Of The Moon and the classic album This Is The Sea to the roots-inspired Fisherman's Blues era and the series of in-form records that have been released since the Nashville-recorded Modern Blues from 2015, featuring soul, funk, country rock, and any other form of music they want to play.
Waterboys songs can be heard in the recent live sets of The War On Drugs, Bleachers, U2, The Killers, Tom Jones, and many others, but no one plays Waterboys like The Waterboys.
This year, the band is touring with their bold new album on Sun Records, Life, Death And Dennis Hopper, which tells the story of the non-conformist American actor and pioneer. The audience can expect Waterboys classics, new directions, drama, improvisation, and musical fireworks.
Support
As a supporting act, we welcome The Deep Blue: a fresh indie-folk band from Manchester. This four-member female collective, Georgia from Scotland, Sophie from Wales, Niamh from Ireland, and Katie from South England, found each other during the lockdown of 2020. Since then, they have been building an immersive sound full of layered three-part harmonies, solid rhythms, and catchy guitar lines.
This concert is a collaboration with Patronaat.
Lockers
In the entrance area, you will find lockers and a coatroom to store your coat or bag. There are two sizes of lockers available:

- Large lockers (€ 4,00)
You can easily use a locker by scanning the QR code on the spot with your mobile phone. Reservations in advance are not possible.
