Saxophonist Kika Sprangers presents her latest album Rivers with her band: poetic jazz with a statement.

Kika Sprangers presents her new music with her established band in an acoustic arrangement featuring Wurlitzer and the human voice as an instrument. The band members are musicians with distinctive musical personalities who dare to make unexpected musical decisions.

The new album Rivers explores the human relationship with water. The river serves as a metaphor for humankind and its journey through life, how it develops and carves its own path. Rivers is deeply connected to her identity and her youth, and reflects her journey in music and life.

The music is poetic jazz with a statement. With room for unexpected turns, it is free music that is constantly in motion. Like the flow of a river.
