In the new program VERS, Diederik Nomden will perform songs from his first Dutch-language album of the same name.

After 4 solo albums in English, concluded by his first theater tour ROOTS, Diederik Nomden makes the switch to his native language.

His melancholic song 'Oldambt', about the East Groningen region where he grew up, proves to be an absolute highlight in ROOTS, where Nomden's audience urges him night after night to 'definitely make a performance and album in Dutch'.

For among others the theater play 'Hanna van Hendrik', Diederik already writes a handful of Dutch-language songs in 2019, and the illness process of his father Jan, who passed away in 2020, also inspires him to write a song that has touched a sensitive chord with those close to him.

He also takes the listener along, in his characteristic engaging yet simultaneously light storytelling style, through a number of self-selected highlights from Dutch pop history.
