Niki Jacobs presents with JA! a personal and musical performance about resilience and reinventing yourself. Together with Brigitte Kaandorp, she created a Dutch-language repertoire that feels like a late, yet powerful coming-of-age.
Niki Jacobs says YES! To herself. To life as it presents itself, in all its stubbornness, but also in all its beauty. Or as the late Frater Venantius once sang: say yes to life, otherwise life will say no to you.
Niki has a crystal-clear singing voice, musical talent and has toured extensively in America and Europe for many years. However, it has long been a cherished wish to sing in her own mother tongue, and now she chooses a road trip through Dutch theaters. In collaboration with colleague and friend Brigitte Kaandorp, a special and brand-new Dutch-language repertoire has been created. Joyful, raw, moving, personal and hopeful.
