Cock Robin, under the direction of Peter Kingsbery, grew into an international success in the 80s, largely thanks to the rise of MTV. The band scored major hits and conquered a large audience especially in Europe, where the albums Cock Robin, After Here Through Midland and First Love/Last Rites went platinum. After a successful initial period the band disbanded, but in 2006 a reunion followed with new music.
Kingsbery then continued Cock Robin with a renewed line-up and a more contemporary sound, with which he continued to tour throughout Europe. With new releases and an enduring live reputation, Cock Robin remains a beloved name in pop music.
