Uriah Heep + Heavy Pettin
Iconic hard rock band brings The Magician's Farewell Tour
The British hard rock band Uriah Heep brings their farewell tour to Haarlem. With their debut Very 'Eavy, Very 'Umble they, alongside bands such as Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, laid the foundation for hard rock and achieved worldwide success with albums such as Demons and Wizards.
With 24 studio and 21 live albums and countless performances, Uriah Heep has built an impressive career. Yet the band truly comes into its own live: guitarist Mick Box still effortlessly plays his signature riffs, keyboardist Phil Lanzon lets his Hammond organ roar, and vocalist Bernie Shaw impresses with his powerful voice.
In Haarlem, the band plays songs from their complete repertoire, from Very 'Eavy, Very 'Umble to the recent Chaos & Colour (2023). Although they indicated they were not ready yet, the band is now touring the venues with their farewell tour The Magician's Farewell.
Support: Heavy Pettin
The Scottish band Heavy Pettin returns with 'Rock Generation', an album that immediately positions their sound between Def Leppard, Whitesnake and Thin Lizzy.
In the '80s, Heavy Pettin built a solid reputation with their debut 'Lettin Loose' and tours with Ozzy Osbourne and Mötley Crüe, among others. After that, it went quiet for a long time. Now the band sounds like a confident machine again: tight, melodious and without a nostalgic edge. On 'Rock Generation' you hear ten tracks that revolve around riffs, hooks and a clear live intention.
