Pink Floyd Project
presents: 50 years of Animals & In The Flesh Tour
Pink Floyd Project returns to the PHIL with a tribute to Animals, the tenth album by legendary English rock band Pink Floyd.
During the concert, Pink Floyd Project performs a setlist based on the albums Animals and Wish You Were Here. During the In The Flesh tour in 1977, Pink Floyd gave three sold-out concerts at Sportpaleis Ahoy' in Rotterdam, while Animals reached the top of the album charts in the Netherlands.
With classics such as Sheep and Dogs, Animals is packed with captivating music featuring guitar and keyboard solos, and not to forget the socially critical lyrics by Roger Waters, which have lost none of their power 50 years later.
The title track from the album Wish You Were Here has become a true classic that has been ranking high in the Top 2000 for years.
To stay true to the soul of the original, while also placing Pink Floyd's music in the current era, the group collaborates with director Aike Dirkzwager and music journalist/Pink Floyd biographer Wouter Bessels.
With the unmistakable sound, look and feel of one of the most influential bands of all time, this concert is a must for Floyd fans.
