Dawn Brothers & Friends
50 Years The Last Waltz met Tim Knol, Cato van Dijck, Nico Dijkshoorn, Fleur, Darryl & Dusty Ciggaar
Exactly fifty years after The Band's legendary farewell concert, the Rotterdam Dawn Brothers bring The Last Waltz to the PHIL. The Dawn Brothers have deeply rooted their sound in the folk rock and Americana tradition. With their multi-part harmonies and raw, energetic live approach, they are undoubtedly the ideal band to carry this tribute.
On November 25, 1976, The Band said farewell at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. The concert was immortalized in Martin Scorsese's acclaimed film and became a cultural landmark. With their distinctive blend of rock, folk, country, and blues, The Band left an indelible mark on music history and laid the foundation for what we today call americana.
