Grote Zaal

Impressive, grand, and flexible

Looking for a versatile venue? Then our Grote Zaal is the place to be. Thanks to the flexible seating plan and movable floor, the hall can be arranged according to your wishes. It doesn't matter what you want to use the Grote Zaal for your gala, dinner, award ceremony, or staff party; your event will be elevated to a higher level at the PHIL.

The hall is multifunctional

Out of the 1,228 seats, 768 are in the hall (ground floor) and 460 on the balcony. The seats in the hall can be removed, creating 350m2 of free floor space that can be used for events such as a dinner or an exhibition. The stage is not only a place for speakers, but also suitable for a sit-down dinner or to be used as a breakout room.

National Monument Cavaillé-Coll organ

On the spacious stage of the PHIL stands one of the most beautiful and famous organs in the Netherlands: the magnificent Cavaillé-Coll organ. This national monument is important cultural heritage and adds allure to events such as dinners or award ceremonies on stage, but can also be quickly hidden from view.

They went ahead of you.

Congress Ministry of I&W

November 25-28, 2024

The Netherlands recently hosted the 'ICAO Symposium on the Assistance to Aircraft Accident Victims and their Families'. For the PHIL, it was an honor to welcome this symposium, organized by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. There was a discussion about the social impact of aviation accidents and how countries can best support victims and their family members.

OVNH verkiezing 2024

29 mei 2024

We are particularly proud of our years of collaboration with OVNH Ondernemingsverkiezing Noord-Holland and are happy to provide a platform for innovative and inspiring companies from our region at the PHIL. On May 29, it was already the 17th edition of this festive award show, which has included a gala dinner in our Grote Zaal for several years now. Everything was perfect, what an evening!

Maestro: een perfecte match

Expected: winter 2025

PHIL has been the setting for the immensely popular AVROTROS program Maestro for all seven seasons. Many recognize our Grote Zaal from this television hit, where well-known Dutch personalities take on the challenge of conducting a real symphony orchestra. On Sunday, January 21, Chris Zeegers and Frédérique Spigt will compete live from PHIL for the golden baton of Maestro. A grand television production that once again shows how well our venue is suited for this purpose.
