Victor Baeña was born in 1995. He began guitar and piano lessons at the age of twelve at the Madrid Conservatory ("Arturo Soria"). Later, he developed a strong interest in the interpretation of early music, particularly the organ and harpsichord repertoire. He decided to specialize in this field and studied organ with Anselmo Serna and harpsichord and basso continuo with Denise De La-Herrán. Victor attended masterclasses for organ and harpsichord with, among others, Montserrat Torrent, Andrés Cea, Lorenzo Ghielmi, Jacques Ogg, Elisabeth Joyé, Leo van Doeselaar, Ton Koopman, Bernard Foccroulle, and Thomas Trotter. Since September 2015, he has formed the "Duo Sonorous" with violinist Lisette Carlebur. He usually performs with her as an organist, but sometimes also as a pianist. Together they are committed to bringing greater attention to the organ and violin repertoire. In June 2020, he obtained his master's diploma in organ at the Amsterdam Conservatory with Pieter van Dijk and Matthias Havinga. He also received lessons in French Romantic organ music from guest lecturer Louis Robilliard. In addition, he plays clavichord and studied with Menno van Delft. In July 2019, he won first prize (Schnitger Prize) at the International Schnitger Organ Competition in the Great Church of Alkmaar. In October 2020, he won second prize at the National Organ Competition "Francisco Salinas" in Burgos (Spain). In June 2023, he completed the Konzertexamen at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg with Prof. Wolfgang Zerer and Prof. Pieter van Dijk, with the qualification summa cum laude. In October 2022, he was appointed titular organist of the Philbert/Adema organ (1871/1887) at the Mozes en Aäronkerk in Amsterdam. He also works as festival manager for the Organ Festival Holland (Alkmaar) and as organ mentor for the Ter Hart organ (1858) in the Buiksloterkerk in Amsterdam. From March 2023 to September 2025, he was appointed "Young Organist in Residence"
