Organist Matteo Imbruno performs in a special concert. As an internationally renowned musician, he brings the rich organ tradition to life.

Matteo Imbruno studied organ in Bologna, Rotterdam and Lübeck. Since 1997 he has been organist of the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam, the same position held by Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck in the 17th century. As a concert organist he performs at the most prestigious festivals and music centers.

In 2022, Imbruno received the Frans Bannick Cocqpenning award from the city of Amsterdam from the hands of alderman for arts and culture Touria Meliani: "For 25 years you have carried the spirit of Sweelinck and his music here in the Oude Kerk, but especially far beyond it"; as alderman Meliani stated: "as organist of the old church for 25 years he has been an ambassador for the city of Amsterdam".
