Rembrandt Frerichs
Rembrandt & Bach
This concert brings jazz tradition and organ practice together. Classics by Bach are alternated with new work by Rembrandt himself.
Compositions where improvisation and unexpected sonic worlds come together. The result is not a traditional organ recital, but an exploration that respects the rich cultural and historical value of Dutch organs, while at the same time revealing how current, versatile and vibrant this instrument can sound today. A concert in which the organ is liberated from its usual context and reinvented.
