Since 2015, Thomas Ospital has been titular organist of the great organ at the Saint-Eustache Church in Paris and was appointed organ teacher at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) in 2021. He is a young artist who has quickly established himself among the world's leading concert organists.
Thomas Ospital is equally at home as a solo recitalist and in collaboration with choir or orchestra. He is also actively committed to keeping the art of improvisation alive in all its forms, including the accompaniment of silent films.
Born in 1990, he began his musical training at the Conservatoire Maurice Ravel in Bayonne. From 2008 to 2015 he studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where he won five first prizes in organ, improvisation, harmony, counterpoint and fugue. His teachers there included Olivier Latry, Michel Bouvard, Thierry Escaich, Philippe Lefebvre, László Fassang, Isabelle Duha and Pierre Pincemaille.
From 2015 to 2018 he was also resident organist at the Maison de la Radio.
