Are we as humans condemned to conflict and power, or is there another way? Flip Noorman brings the bonobo to life in his music, the peaceful counterpart to the chimpanzee.

In a new theatrical concert, Flip Noorman, assisted by the Noormannen and his wife, settles accounts with the cultural myths of the survival of the fittest and constructs a world where human nature is portrayed as inherently empathetic and peace-loving. Perhaps against better judgment. Along the way, an ode to the now deceased American-Dutch primatologist Frans de Waal, of course Jane Goodall, and Flip's own mother, the matriarch of a family full of men who recently passed away after a chronic illness lasting 35 years.

A program fighting against the grain, at the cutting edge of the zeitgeist, a series of songs that will only further solidify Noorman's place in the cultural landscape. Because yes, ultimately isn't that what it's all about for him?
