Organization
One company, two buildings, three stages
Experiencing theater and music together brings people together. It creates a bond when you laugh together or are touched by something that moves you. As a cultural institution with two stages, we want to bring people together through theater and music.
We organize more than 400 events a year: from hip-hop to dance, theater, and cabaret in the City Theater. And from pop and classical concerts to soul performances, television productions, corporate events, and conferences in the PHIL. Our team of more than 100 permanent staff, hospitality workers, and volunteers is working passionately every day to make all this happen.

Multi-Year Plan 2025 - 2028
We strive for growth in our activities with a distinct artistic-social profile to attract many more (new) visitors. The challenge is to achieve this sustainably, both in terms of operations and the management of our historical buildings. We will continue to take responsible business risks and focus on maintaining sufficient resilience through the growth of our own revenues and careful cost monitoring. Ethical Code
We are a cultural institution that organizes and facilitates concerts, performances, events, and educational projects. Our programming can and may provoke discussion, just as various topics do in society. This can sometimes become quite intense. Opinions differ, groups stand opposed to each other, and conflicts and wars can lead to shocked reactions and deep outrage.
How we make our choices in this complex and hypersensitive environment, on what grounds we do so, and how we explain this to the outside world can be read in our Ethical Code (Dutch only).
