Robin Scherpen Collective

As a classically trained guitarist, but a lover of various music styles such as blues, pop, rock, electronics, and world music, has Scherpen struggled for a long time with a musical identity crisis. He moves effortlessly within different musical worlds and creates what he creates, but no one could put him in a box, and that seems to be so important in the Netherlands. 

The band envisions a world where music does not serve as wallpaper or as a demonstration of virtuosity or complexity, but as a way to share the deepest thoughts and feelings without words. Once the sounds resonate, the differences fade away. Status, class, and boxes disappear, and what remains is music that moves, breathes, and offers comfort. 

The shows of the Robin Scherpen Collective are more than concerts; they are experiences. With guitar, a string quartet, synth/electronics, drums, and special stories, the collective creates a space where the listener can break free from their own structures and patterns, providing a moment where 'not thinking', intuition, and freedom take center stage.
