Ladysmith Black Mambazo returns to the PHIL. The South African group brings their renowned Grammy-winning harmonies and powerful Isicathamiya and Mbube sounds. Expect a mix of traditional Zulu music and gospel.

In the seventies, Ladysmith Black Mambazo conquered the hearts of South Africa, and soon the rest of the world followed. The major breakthrough came in the mid-eighties, when Paul Simon visited South Africa and was captivated by their unparalleled harmonies. The collaboration on the iconic album Graceland (1986) put world music on the map in one fell swoop and made the group a global phenomenon.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo is more than a vocal group. They guard a beautiful tradition that they continue to renew with a fresh perspective. Their impressive voices and infectious choreography bring a universal message to every stage: Peace, Love and Harmony.
