'Masters' is a unique form of storytelling, both with music and with words, literally from the mouths of the masters themselves.
Master pianist Jeroen van Veen and master storyteller Fred Delfgaauw present a theatrical piano concert featuring four master composers in the spotlight: Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and Satie. They emerge as living characters from the mist of rich cultural history into the present day. While Jeroen virtuously interprets famous works, Fred brings the composers to life. In this way, these composers become visitors at their own piano concerts.
Through this unique form of theater-in-a-concert, they share personal stories from their lives, but they also express their views on the present. And the storyteller can ask what inspired them to create those masterpieces for eternity.
